Your Pathway to a Successful Cybersecurity Career
Quanterion Solutions, a National Cybersecurity Awareness Month Champion, addressed the cybersecurity workforce gap with a webinar titled “Your Pathway to a Successful Cybersecurity Career: Insights from Cybersecurity Experts.”
This webinar was hosted Tuesday, Oct. 19 at 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. EDT and provided attendees an opportunity to ask cybersecurity career questions from the following experts:
- Jon Check, Executive Director of Cyber Protection Solutions at Raytheon Technologies and National Cyber Security Alliance Board Chair
- Tony Anscombe, Chief Security Evangelist at ESET
- Ryan Kalember, Executive Vice President, Cybersecurity Strategy at Proofpoint Inc
The speakers shared their best tips and insights including how learning more about cybersecurity can enhance a person’s current career or lead them to a new one, why consider a cybersecurity career, how to prepare for one and what to expect on the job.
“We are excited to enable students, interns, entry level workers, job changers, and the current workforce to explore cybersecurity careers in a live event,” said Joseph Caroli, Director of Cybersecurity & Information Systems Programs at Quanterion Solutions and the moderator for the webinar. “People interested in cybersecurity or currently working in the field will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions from experts who have applied experience in hiring industry professionals as well as pursuing, landing, and advancing their own cybersecurity careers.”
This webinar was provided during Cybersecurity Career Awareness Week, an initiative hosted by the National Initiative for Cybersecurity to promote cybersecurity careers and develop the workforce. National Cybersecurity Career Awareness Week was held this year as the third week of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, which is hosted annually in October.
