Detailed Descriptions

Quanterion Solutions Incorporated is seeking a Cataloger and Scanning Technician to join our team and support our Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) customer. The successful candidate will work on site at the DTRA facility located on Kirtland AFB, New Mexico. DTRA is tasked with reducing the threat of weapons of mass destruction. To achieve this goal, Quanterion Solutions Inc. manages the Defense Threat Reduction Information Analysis Center (DTRIAC) for DTRA. DTRIAC represents DTRA’s institutional knowledge and repository of Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) data.

Description: This position provides assistance in preparing documents for production scanning and batch .pdf file conversion. This position will populate our in-house technical library database and operate PC-based desktop record conversion system on a LAN using Windows applications to include record preparation. In addition, this position will be responsible for providing assistance with document data conversion using Adobe Acrobat Professional.

Job Duties: Duties will include document preparation; production scanning; managing electronic files created during .pdf conversion process; assist with production scanning and create document electronic batch files in .pdf format; assist in the cataloging (data-entry) of documents into our in-house technical library database; provide collection maintenance support to include locating, pulling, marking/re-marking, and re-shelfing documents; perform searches using on-line databases and hard copy documentation.


  • High School Diploma required.
  • Must have an active Secret (final) clearance.
  • Proficient with PC operating systems to include MS-DOS and MS-Windows including Windows for Workgroups.
  • Proficient with MS-Windows applications.
  • Experience with record conversion systems and software to include high speed scanners (black & white, grayscale).
  • Proficient using all Adobe Acrobat Professional 11 / Photoshop products.
  • Experience with grayscale scanning and conversion software.
  • Library & Scanning experience a plus.

Security Requirement: Applicant must be able to obtain a US DoD SECRET level security clearance. US citizenship required.

Location: Albuquerque – Kirtland AFB, New Mexico
