As a team member operating the DoD’s Reliability Information Analysis Center (RIAC), Quanterion Solutions released Failure Mode/Mechanism Distributions Databook (FMD-2013), the third sequel in a series of RIAC databooks that contain Failure Mode and Mechanism Distribution Data. FMD-2013 updates the 1997 Edition with an expanded compendium of data for electronic, electromechanical and mechanical parts, components and assemblies. Failure mode/mechanism data is a necessary input for several reliability analyses, including a Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), which has led FMD to become one of the most popular sources of reliability data in this field.
