ROADS Release

New ROADS Interface Released!

Quanterion Solutions has released a new ROADS interface for accessing failure rate and mode data on thousands of components. The Reliability Online Automated Databook System (ROADS), is a Data-as-a-Service interface available anywhere with an Internet connection.

Subscriptions to the new interface are now available.

The ROADS subscription provides online access to these Quanterion databooks currently being used by thousands of engineers worldwide:

  • Nonelectronic Parts Reliability Data (NPRD),
  • Electronic Parts Reliability Data (EPRD), and
  • Failure Modes/Mechanisms Distribution (FMD).

Features in the new version of ROADS include faster search capabilities, advanced group user management, and instant data updates as the data warrants. These features are tailored to industry needs identified by the company’s reliability, electrical and component engineers.

ROADS was built on a long-standing tradition of improving industry access to reliability data, which is a continuous effort directed by Preston MacDiarmid, President of Quanterion Solutions and former reliability manager.

“Accessing failure rate and mode data for specific components is a challenge that ROADS was built to overcome,” said MacDiarmid. “The ability to easily access and search one database of 1.5 million failure rate and mode records for more than 300,000 components is an industry breakthrough, and ROADS builds on that success by providing easy access to crucial data by more engineers around the globe.”

Quanterion Solutions’ team of product developers worked closely with in-house reliability engineers to design and test the new interface.

“The new ROADS marks the next step in our journey of creating innovative solutions to challenges engineers face in designing and maintaining products and systems,” said Rich Wisniewski, Senior Reliability Engineer at Quanterion Solutions.
