Description
The course is ideal for those new to the field as well as managers who want to increase their awareness of the payoffs of different approaches and experienced reliability engineers interested in a refresher course.
Reliability should be an integral part of all aspects of a system’s life cycle, including requirements definition, concept development, product design, design verification, qualification, reliability growth management and testing, reliability demonstration testing, and field monitoring and support. As any reliability practitioner can attest, an overwhelming number of calculations and statistics are used to determine how system requirements should be allocated and how the design should be modeled, assessed and re-designed to maximize customer satisfaction or meet requirements. This course presents and demonstrates common mathematical calculations and statistical techniques that reliability engineers use every day.
Reliability 201: Quantitative Reliability Analysis is an excellent follow-on to Reliability 101 and Design for Reliability courses or can be taken as a standalone course.
If you need to know the basics of quantitative reliability analyses as they apply to developing and fielding better products and systems, this course is for you. Design engineers, reliability engineers, and product/program managers will also benefit.
You will walk away from Reliability 201 with the ability to perform basic reliability analyses and interpret the results. Additionally, you will be able to apply:
- Reliability Allocation
- Reliability Modeling
- Statistical Distributions
- Reliability Predictions
- Stress-Strength Analysis
- Data Analysis (Graphical and Statistical)
- Weibull Analysis
- Reliability Growth Models
- Reliability Demonstration Test Methods
- Design of Experiments
- Statistical Press Control (SPC)
- And more!
This course will instruct you in:
- How to perform and interpret various quantitative reliability analyses commonly used by reliability engineers, and
- What practices to apply for various development situations and the basics of cost effectively implementing them
- How to effectively improve products and system reliability through quantitative analyses
- And more!
